Swine conference in Mexico

Norel Mexico organized a swine conference last March in Tepatitlan, with the help of AMEVECAJ. Our product manager, Luis Mesas, gave a lecture on the topic “New tendencies in pig flavours”. He presented different ways to solve the problem of feed intake during the first two weeks after weaning. Also, how to make the food more appetizing to the animal. The conference dealt with the importance of flavouring in young animals in order to improve the appetite and the palatability, also how to avoid the fall of intake during the first days after weaning. Jorge Zárate, engineer and technical director of Norel Mexico, discussed “The use of sodium butyrate in pigs”. He emphasised the special beneficial effects on the GIT and the reduction of pathogenic intestinal bacteria. Sodium butyrate (GUSTOR) is a remarkable product from Norel used all around the world, that guarantees an improvement of the sanitary conditions and the absorption of nutrients. The conference attracted a lot of attention and interest in these products
