Jalisco, A.C. (AMVECAJ) carried out in Tepatitlán, Jalisco, western region of Mexico, from February 5 to 7, 2020, had a significant influx from that region and from other areas of the country.
The state of Jalisco produces approximately 320,000 tons of pork per year (21% of the national total), destined for national consumption and for export.
The conferences given within the framework of the scientific program, were developed on topics of interest in the face of the challenges presented by the current pig market, such as: agricultural policies in Mexico and their impact on production, the negative impact of mycotoxins on production swine, advantages and disadvantages of handling animal welfare, among others.
More than 20 hours of presentations were given by specialists and researchers from several countries such as Germany, Belgium, Spain, the United States, England and Mexico.
