Efficacy of GUSTOR demonstrated in Philippines

A trial was recently conducted in field conditions to evaluate the effect of GUSTOR B92 (92% sodium butyrate) in broilers. A total of 400 birds were allocated to 4 groups: one control, and 3 treatments (1 kg, 2 kg and 3 kg of Gustor per MT of feed). All birds were fed with a booster diet from the arrival of chicks up to 7th day. Initial weights of birds were measured on the 7th day to ensure the homogeneity and the trial was done with 3 different feeds: starter from 8th to 18th day of age, grower from 19th to 25th day and finisher from 26th day up to harvest.
