NOREL appoints new distributor in New Zealand

NOREL Animal Nutrition is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Brenntag New Zealand as our new distributor for that market. Previously known as ISM/Salkat Group, the company is a leading distributor of specialty chemicals in Australia and New Zealand, and has good connections with the major feed producers and premix companies

The country relies a lot on primary industries (agriculture, forestry, and fishing) which employ around 150,000 people. The main production is milk, with a total of 4.6 million cows producing close to 20 billion of liters. 75% of dairy herds are found in the North Island, with 34% in the Waikato region. In contrast, 60% of pigs produced in New Zealand are raised in the South Island. However, with less than 40,000 breeding sows, this market segment is relatively small.
