CLFMA AGM & NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM 2013 - DELHI

The 46th Annual General Meeting and 55th National Symposium of the CLFMA of India (Compound Feed Manufacturers Association) took place end of 2013 in Delhi, India. Formed in June 1967, CLFMA now has around 200 members, including all sectors of the livestock industry. The theme of this year symposium was “Facilitating Growth of Animal Husbandry Sector” and different speakers discussed about Indian economy, Food safety, and the future of the different animal productions. Mathieu Cortyl from Norel was invited to discuss about current situation and challenges for the Indian Poultry Industry. Since 2000, broiler meat production has grown 350% while egg output more than doubled. However, potential for future growth is still huge, but many challenges need to be overcome
