At NOREL, we continue advancing in our commitment to improving animal performance and welfare through innovation in feed additives.
Our latest study, presented at the 16th International Symposium on Digestive Physiology of Pigs (DPP 2025) in Lake Geneva, WI (USA), evaluated the effects of flavoring compounds (Spiced, PA, and Raspberry Peach, FL; NOREL Animal Nutrition) on the performance of lactating sows and their progenies.
Key findings:
Sows fed with PA flavor returned to estrus 0.5 days sooner and showed improved feed intake. Nursery pigs fed with PA and FL showed a trend toward better feed efficiency and improved fecal firmness compared to the control group.
These results suggest that the inclusion of PA and FL in nursery diets can positively influence pig performance and gut health, highlighting the potential of NOREL’s flavoring solutions in swine nutrition.
