The study, presented in JAM 2016, compared the effect of sodium butyrate protected with PFAD sodium salt (GUSTOR N\u2019RGY) with three different diets on growth performance (21d). A 3 x 2 factorial design was used with a basal diet based on wheat, barley and soybean meal: CON (3,000 kcal AMEn\/kg, 22.02% CP and 11.6 g\/kg dig Lys), CON-1 (CON with -60 kcal AMEn\/kg and -2.3% AA), CON-2 (CON with -120 kcal AMEn\/kg and -4.6% AA), N\u2019RGY (CON diet with GUSTOR N\u2019RGY at 1kg\/t), N\u2019RGY-1 (CON-1 diet with N\u2019RGY at 1kg\/t) and N\u2019RGY-2 (CON-2 diet with N\u2019RGY at 1kg\/t). A total of 252 Cobb 1-day-old male broiler chickens were housed in 36 floor (6 treatments x 6 replicates x 7 animals). Both nutrient concentration and feed additive inclusion affected the performance variables. There were no differences between CON and CON-1 on BW, ADG and FCR. However, CON-2 had lower BW than CON-1 (BW: 831ab, 860a and 805b g) and worst FCR than CON and CON-1 (1.51b, 1.52b and 1.57a). Animals fed diets with N\u2019RGY had higher BW (851a vs 813b g), ADG (38a vs 36b g\/day), ADFI (52a vs 51b g\/day) and better FCR (1.51a vs 1.56b). We concluded that the reduction of energy and amino acids reduce animal performance on its second step, and that the use of GUSTOR N\u2019RGY is able to improve the results of performance in the early phase of chickens<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
